500 Capp Street - David Ireland's studio/residence

Photographing the restored Mission District residence/studio

 DAVID IRELAND (1930-2009)

The sensitive and persistent restoration/preservation of Mr. Ireland's 1886 corner Victorian building has turned into one of the most important artistic resources of San Francisco contemporary art. It's open to the public for tours and exhibitions.

The much anticipated opening garnered widespread coverage in the media, printed as well as on-line, thanks to Wendy Norris, Yosh Asato and of course Carli Wilmans and her team at the 500 Capp Street Foundation.
