I have been photographing the rapidly changing urban landscape around the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco's SOMA neighborhood since the demolition of the original Timothy Pfluger designed edifice. Below is a brief selection of images chronicling the rise of the Salesforce Tower which stands on Mission St. between First and Fremont Streets.

The topped-out Salesforce Tower has a commanding presence on the San Francisco skyline, dwarfing the BofA building and the Transamerica Pyramid. 4-12-2017 from near Land's End.

 DAVID IRELAND (1930-2009)

The sensitive and persistent restoration/preservation of Mr. Ireland's 1886 corner Victorian building has turned into one of the most important artistic resources of San Francisco contemporary art. It's open to the public for tours and exhibitions. http://500cappstreet.org/visit/
